ernyl?? <br />e, - jljl? r <br />The measured data at the 5 sites show that the baseline or existing noise environment ranges from as <br />low as 28 dB(A) during moments of silence to levels as high as 49 dB(A) due to cultural activities such as <br />motor vehicles. <br />CC&V has a noise monitoring station (Rigi Environmental Monitoring Station) located on the mine <br />property. The location of this station is in the southeast quarter of Section 29, T1 5S, R69W of Teller <br />County, Colorado. The elevation at the station is approximately 10,175 feet Above Mean Sea Level <br />("AMSL") and is located at Universal Transverse Mercator ("UTM") coordinates 428550ON and 488500E. <br />The site is approximately 100 feet west of County Road 84 and about 40 feet higher in elevation. <br />A noise monitor at the Rigi site records the noise level and those data are transmitted via a radio <br />transmitter to a receiver at the CC&V office. The noise level is then stored in a computer file and can be <br />displayed or printed out. <br />Table 2 presents the noise data on a monthly basis for the years 2003 thru 2007 that was acquired at the <br />CC&V Rigi Environmental Monitoring Station. The three noise monitoring instruments used for the 2007 project were Quest Model <br />2900. These instruments were set to record the average A-weight, slow response sound level for each <br />and every one (1) hour interval during the entire time on location. In addition to the hourly records, the <br />day/night average, 5, 10, 50 and 90 percentiles were calculated and stored in the instrument's memory <br />and then downloaded along with the hourly data. Measurement site locations, date of run and run time <br />for the 3 sites were: <br />1. Site 1 <br />Private residence at 125 Bison Street, Cripple Creek. 15 ft. from northeast corner of residence.
