•
Table 10-1
Surface Water Monitoring Sites
Site Number Location Monitoring Frequency
AG-2.0 Arequa Gulch Downstream Quarterly
GV-01 Grassy Valley adjacent to ECOSA/WHEX Flow rate and field
GV-02 Grassy Valley adjacent to ECOSA parameters (pH,
GV-03 Grassy Valley Downstream temperature and specific
conductance) monitored on
a monthly basis.
Quarterly for water quality
T-2 Wilson Creek (Theresa Gulch) Downstream Quarterly
WCSW-01 Wilson Creek Downstream Quarterly
Monthly inspections will be conducted in accordance with the SPCC Plan at Ironclad
Facility, truck shop, fuel farm, crusher oils storage shed, crusher maintenance shed,
secondary crusher building, ADR, electrical transformers, and mobile equipment. Spill
monitoring will be implemented following clean up. Surface water monitoring will be
• implemented downstream, if necessary. Soil along the spill pathway will be monitored
and decontaminated and/or moved as necessary. If there is a potential for the spill to
migrate off-site, samples will be obtained expeditiously from down-gradient, existing
surface and ground water stations and any additional water monitoring points deemed
appropriate to monitor the potential migration pathways. The spilled material also may be
tested to evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation.
10.2 Ground Water
Ground water quality and depth to ground water will be monitored on a quarterly basis
under the MLE at the following locations: downgradient of the VLF in Arequa Gulch
(CRMW-3A and CRMW-3B); downgradient of the mining operations in Squaw Gulch
(SGMW-5); downgradient of the East Cresson Mine area at two locations in Vindicator
Valley (VIN-2A and VIN-2B); downgradient of the North Cresson Mine area in Poverty
Gulch at one location (PGMW-2); downgradient of the operation in Wilson Creek
(WCMW-6); and downgradient of ESP in Arequa Gulch (ESPMW-1).
These wells, shown in Table 10-2 and on Figure 10-1, will be sampled and analyzed for
the parameters listed in Table 10-4.
• Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Mine Life Extension
10-2
