• 8.0 SUPPORT FACILITIES
Existing; support facilities are mapped on Drawing C-2 and proposed facilities are shown
on Drawing C-3.
8.1 Ironclad Office Facility
No changes to the Ironclad Office Facility are proposed. For informational purposes, the
Ironclad Office Facility includes the Security Office including entrance station and guard
shack, Engineering Office, Ironclad Maintenance Facility, a truck shop, a small vehicle
shop, a tire pad, warehouse, and an employee parking lot. The Bulk Emulsion facility is
located here as well as the Explosives Magazines. Dimensions for these facilities may be
found in the financial warranty calculations, in Appendix 2.
8.2 :Maintenance Facility
No changes to the Maintenance Facility are proposed. The existing maintenance and
truck wash facilities known as the Ironclad Facilities (Drawing C-2) will continue to
serve the operations proposed under the MLE for some period into the future. Used
liquids, such as oil and antifreeze that may escape during maintenance or may be washed
• off during washing activities, are collected in a floor drain system within the facility. The
floor drain is routed to an oil-water separator to allow separation of used liquids from the
water before reuse of the water. The used liquids will be collected for proper recycling or
disposal.
The equipment ready line is located to the vicinity of the Ironclad Facilities as shown on
Drawing; C-2.
The fuel farm is located in the vicinity of the Crushing and Conveyor Facility as shown
on Drawing C-2. The fuel farm provides lined containment for 110 percent of the largest
tank volume.
8.3 Crushing and Conveyor Facility
The Crushing and Conveyor Facility has previously been discussed under Section 5.6 of
the Mine Plan. The area includes a Lime Silo, a water tank, and a fuel farm, in addition to
the primary and secondary crushers, screening station, and the LOB. The existing crusher
maintenance building will be demolished and a new building will be constructed in the
same general area, with a slightly relocation as shown on Drawing C-3.
• Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Mine Life Extension
S-1
