amen <br />Earth & Environmental <br />II. Underground Working <br />A. Drilling <br />No work performed during the week. <br />B. Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation <br />Underground working 3001: The remediation of the shaft has been completed with the <br />placement of 90 cubic yards of transit mixed cemented rock fill. Used two feet of subgrade <br />cut from the pond slopes to complete the backfill to bottom of the pond subgrade elevation. <br />The work conforms to the Remediation Plan prepared by AMEC. <br />C. Lateral/Slot Remediation <br />No work performed during the week <br />III. Stormwater Management Structures <br />A. Control Structures <br />No work performed during the week. <br />IV. VLF Geosynthetics <br />A. LLDPE Geomembrane 80 mil and 100 mil <br />Lone Star (Installer) is on site. <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />Work in the VLF during the week was intermittent due to the LOB Delivery Road work being the major <br />work activity. <br />Remediation work on underground working 3001, located within the bottom of the sediment pond has <br />been completed. <br />SLF processing located in SGOSA Dump 5 has been processing clay most of the week.. <br />Processing materials for both the VLF and LOB continues. <br />The mine has been transporting unprocessed clay to the South Cresson clay stockpile. <br />Work was completed on the 9775 bench widening for the relocation of the existing, solution piping. Work <br />focused on the bench widening and laying back the slope of the existing ore heap. <br />Testing Summary <br />Laboratory testing continues (Gradations, Atterberg Limit, and Moisture-Density Relationships) for <br />previously sampled materials, throughout both shifts. <br />Sheet 3 of 6 <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 04.18.09.D
