6.4.5 EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan
Please describe the grass seed mix in terms of pounds of pure live seed/acre for each
grass species to be utilized - keep in mind that broadcast seeding will require twice the
amount of seed specified for drill seeding. Soil stockpiles that will not be disturbed for
12 months should be seeded and stabilized; and a weed control plan should be
implemented across the site until the grasses become established. The Division
recommends that stockpiles be seeded and stabilized as soon as possible if that material
will be set aside for reclamation, and preferably no longer than 6 months. Waiting an
entire year prior to seeding will likely result in erosion and weed control issues that will
need to be addressed. The statement that 4" of topsoil will be imported to cover the
disturbed areas prior to reseeding would be more appropriate in this section, rather than
in the Mining Plan.
Do you anticipate the use of any organic soil amendments or mulching to retain
moisture?
Please state if any roadways or structures will remain in the permit area after reclamation,
and if so please show them on the reclamation map.
6.4.6 EXHIBIT F - Reclamation Plan Map
Please show the anticipated post-mining final contours and configuration for the affected
areas on this map. This would also include any structures or roadways remaining after
reclamation.
6.4.7 EXHIBIT G - Water Information
This section is adequate as submitted.
6.4.8 EXHIBIT H - Wildlife Information
This section is adequate as submitted.
6.4.9 EXHIBIT I - Soils Information
This section is adequate as submitted.
6.4.10 EXHIBIT J - Vegetation Information
A brief description of the plant species currently present on site, and what percentage of
the total vegetation on site they make up is needed for this section.
