amec? <br />Earth & EnvironmeAtal <br />The lower section of the LOB Delivery Road between approximate Stations 19+00(+/-) to 16+00(+/-) has <br />been drilled and shot during the week. The LOB Delivery Road, adjacent to the LOB Pad, has <br />approximately 50 feet of overburden rock left which will require additional drilling and blasting for <br />removal. Rockbreakers has been working double shifts throughout the week, depending on weather. <br />Day shift work cut to fill during the week (weather permitting) in the LOB Delivery Road from Stations <br />35+00(+/-) to 37+50(+/-). All fill material was placed by method specification as outlined in the Project <br />Documents. Fill temperatures were recorded for project compliance. <br />There was no SLF processing at SGOSA Dump 5. <br />The mine has been transporting clay to the South Cresson clay stockpile on an intermittent basis. <br />The material screening plant located at the AGOSA (Arequa Gulch Overburden Storage Area) has started <br />producing "face rock" for the planned MSE walls located within the conveyor transfer locations. <br />Laboratory Testing Summary: <br />Laboratory testing continues (Gradations, Atterberg Limit, and Moisture-Density Relationships) for <br />previously sampled materials, throughout the shift. Permeability testing continues at an off-site <br />laboratory. A sample of clay from the South Cresson stockpile has been obtained for testing (SLF-21-C). <br />GENERAL PROJECT ITEMS <br />Summary of Concerns: <br />No Concerns <br />Summary of Planning Items: <br />A new SLF plant will arrive sometime next week. <br />Lone Star: Additional submittals are required for approval. The liner crew will attend MSHA training <br />next week. <br />Underground workings remediation in the LOB Pad area and LOB Delivery Road is on going as the sites <br />are exposed and located. <br />Underground workings within the planned conveyor alignment to the LOB Pad. Remediation <br />requirements were received by AMES on Wednesday <br />Summary of Non-conformances: <br />None Issued <br />Summary of Meetings and Discussions: <br />CC& V.• <br />CC&V held a Weekly Contractors' meeting on March 24, 2009. Items discussed included Safety, <br />Environmental, Schedule, QC documentation, and CQA. <br />Ames Construction: <br />Daily safety meetings are performed prior to each shift.
