M-1978-349 (Dick Casey Concrete Pit)
2009 Technical Revision
March 31, 2009
Page 2
Exhibit B - Index Map
Exhibit B is not required as a part of this technical revision, as the site has not
changed vicinity or location. However, a new map using updated U.S.G.S base
map information is provided for convenience. See the enclosed attachment.
Exhibit C - Maps
In the original 112c Reclamation Permit, Exhibit C consisted of one map titled the
Pre-Mining/Mining Map. For clarification, this Technical Revision consists of an
Exhibit C-1: Existing Conditions Map and an Exhibit C-2: Mining Plan Map.
Exhibit C-1: Existing Conditions Map
Most existing conditions remain the same as the original permit, noting that
extensive gravel recovery has occurred on surrounding parcels since 1979.
Per Rule 6.4.3, all adjoining surface owners of record, man-made and natural
structures within 200 feet of affected area, existing topography, existing
vegetation, and existing soils information are updated as part of this Exhibit.
Exhibit C-2: Mining Plan Map
The Mining Plan Map has been revised for efficient recovery of construction
materials. The document has been updated to reflect the consolidation of
multiple mining cells into one cell. This change includes the elimination of
certain phase and cell boundaries, creating one comprehensive active mining
phase. Typical side slopes, berm cross-section details, and mining notes
have been added. A 50-foot excavation setback is provided along boundaries
with non-mining uses, while common boundaries with all permitted gravel
resources (all under control of the Applicant) are mined to the property lines
internal to the overall gravel resources; soil conditions and prior experience
indicate that this configuration will safely maximize sand and gravel recovery.
Stockpiles and other operational features are also updated on revised Exhibit
C-2 to accurately reflect current and future operations.
2
