24 January 1989 - MLRD contacts Attorney General's Office (AGO) regarding lien <br />holders. <br />10 March 1989 - AGO contacts potential lien holders regarding demolition of structures <br />and removal of equipment at the Sunlight Mine <br />27 March 1989 - Department of Labor contacts AGO regarding possible right to <br />property but waives right. <br />1 March 1990 - MLRD begins bid process for Sunlight reclamation with "Initiation to <br />Bid". <br />13 March 1990 - MLRD forwards bid package and schedule to the Division of <br />Purchasing. <br />22 and 29 March 1990 - Invitation to Bid advertised in local paper. <br />4 April 1990 - Prebid meeting held. <br />18 April 1990 - Bid awarded to Curry Construction of Kremmling <br />27 April 1990 - MLRD accepts Curry Construction's certificate of insurance <br />1 May 1990 - Division of Purchasing issues a purchase order for $9,995 bid to Curry <br />Construction <br />3 May 1990 - MLRD sends notice to proceed to Curry Construction. <br />24 May 1990 - Change Order issued for the completion of additional reclamation work <br />(using the additional $1,805 in bond monies). <br />31 May 1990 - Change Order approved. <br />21 June 1990 - Public Notice for Final Settlement for Curry Construction sent to paper. <br />26 and 27 June 1990 - Notice of Final Settlement published. <br />1 April 1994 - Erica Crosby forwards memo detailing an opening that has occurred in <br />the reclamation of one of the sealed entries. Based on the only other available document <br />in Laserfiche it is my opinion that the opening was the upper entry. <br />25 May 1999 - Byron Walker sends memo to AML regarding a 10 foot depression and <br />adjacent depression in the backfilled air shaft (the lower entry of concern now). <br />14 June 1999 - Sunlight Bid Schedule. The work on Sunlight was a part of a larger <br />series of AML projects around the state. This project included filling the depressions <br />noted in the 25 May 1999 Walker memo as well as stabilizing the lower entry (pages 4 <br />and 5 of the schedule). <br />7 November 1999 - Final inspection and certification of the work completed at Sunlight. <br />This is brief but indicates that all of the work was completed to the Division's <br />satisfaction. <br />19 May 2006 - This is the first inspection report that notes that there is a problem with <br />the lower portal at the Sunlight Mine. <br />31 October 2007 - Division a-mails regarding the collapsed lower entry at Sunlight. <br />This completes the chronology of the reclamation work at the Sunlight Mine as it exists <br />in the Laserfiche system.
