1;} Affected Land 'Affected,land is.-any-land used or disturbed in the course of <br />conducting the mining operations. This includes not only mining areas, but . <br />ptocessmg:areas,'stockpiles of various types, and access roads. However, some'. <br />work perforined by the operator will not be'part of the mining operation and'.is <br />therefore not affected land. Worked perforrned in these areas will not ,be ,included <br />in reclamation costs or bonded. <br />2.) Bonding Boundaries: This boundary is the land included. in the. bonding and will, <br />be referred to as Bonded Land Boundary. <br />a. To put it in context, you have defined two. areas of Bonding <br />Boundaries, "Current Operation Bond Area" and "Added Bonding. . <br />Boundary Areas". The "Current Operation Bond Area'.' is.the, area, that, <br />was originally bonded prior to Amendment 03 and is referred to 'hear <br />after as the original bonded boundary. The "'Added Bonding <br />Boundary" area is the bonding boundary that was added due to: the <br />increase in permit acreage from Amendment 03. <br />The following are the definitions that the Division is using: <br />1.) Affected Land.• The surface of an area within the state where a mining operation is` <br />beina:or will be`conducted, which surface is disturbed as a result:of such mining <br />operation. <br />2_) DRIVIS Bonded: Area: `This is the maximum allowable unreleased land. This area <br />includes 150 acres. of major disturbance and 100 acres'of seeded land in the <br />perniit:.area, at any one time. Thus the financial warranty held for this; site is. for <br />250 acres of various disturbances.as described in the Amendment 03.permit <br />document (Exhibit L),. From the Division's stand point;,the DRMS'Bonded,Area <br />should be the same. as, the Affected Land area. <br />.The following Tables summarize the changes that have occurred for the various acreage <br />categories. The first table is what the Division perceives as what the acreage `should `be in <br />the. Various categories based on Amendment 03, Technical Revision 03 and what-changes <br />will be made:due to Technical Revision 04. The second table reflects what acreages: you <br />have accotded to the various acreage categories as they are listed in the submitted <br />Technical Revision 04 narrative and maps. <br />1 able 1.
