3.6 <br />• 3.1 POST MINING TOPOGRAPHY <br />Topographic maps depicting approximate reclamation contours are presented in Fgure <br />3.1-1 and 3.1-2. Fgure 3.1.1 shows the reclamation plan that was approved for the original <br />permit term with the stipulation that mine bench reclamation be addressed in detail. Figure <br />3.1.2 depicts the final reclamation contours for the mine bench area which will not be reclaimed <br />to original contours. Because the disturbed area associated with the operation is limited and <br />located primarily in a draw with steep slopes and rock outcrops, post mining topographic <br />configuration will be similar to pre-mining conditions and will not alter the uses. <br />That portion of the access road located along the canyon slopes (wildlife habitat) will be <br />reclaimed utilizing a backhoe and bulldozer. Material will be pulled from the down slope and cast <br />into the road area to eliminate the road and create a transitional slope between the creek <br />• bottom and the steeper natural slopes. <br />In those areas where this is not possible, such as at the highwall, the soil will be pushed into <br />place using a bulldozer to compact the material in one to two foot lifts. All drainages will be <br />reestablished and culverts removed prior to revegetation. <br /> <br />M~ Volume 1 4.29-96 <br />
