• Accordingly it was determined that foundation drainage under the original
pile was not necessary to protect the quality of underground water. The report
does recommend construction of an impervious core trench to prevent migration
of drainage water into groundwater. Additionally, a drainage channel was recom-
mended to convey any intercepted drainage water to a treatment disposal pond.
