Miscellaneous
10. The third paragraph of Page 4.03-1 has been modified to incorporate South Taylor
Haul Road information. However, the remainder of the page continues to refer to
"both" Haul Roads (presumably A and B). Please modify the remainder of Page
4.03-1 to ensure clarity and consistency with the fact that there will now be three
permitted haul roads.
11. The last sentence of the third paragraph on Page 4.03-1 refers to Permit Volume
Fourteen, but the "Change Sheet" which accompanied the application indicates that it
is pages in Volume 12 that have been modified. The text portion of the South Taylor
expansion is contained in permit Volume 12. Please correct this discrepancy.
12. The fourth paragraph on page 4.03-1 states that the "haul roads" have been paved
with asphalt... According to the Construction Notes on Map 25C, the South Taylor
Haul Road will be surfaced with rock or crushed gravel. Please revise the text on
page 4.03-1 to clarify the type of surfacing for each of the three haul roads.
13. Although unrelated to the South Taylor Haul Road designs per se, on the third line of
the fourth paragraph on page 4.03-1 there is an extraneous period (".") between the
phrase "located in" and the word "the". Please remove this period.
This completes the preliminary adequacy review for Technical Revision 76. The Division's
proposed decision date for this revision is 24 April 2009. Colowyo's prompt response to this
letter will help ensure that this date is met. Please contact me at (303) 866-3567 X8145 if you
have any questions.
Sincerely,
James R. Stark
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Sandy Brown
