Highway trucks will haul sellable material to market from the processing site. Truck traffic will <br />utilize Highway 160. <br />The gravel thickness is approximately 8-20 feet. The overburden that is encountered will be used <br />to reduce the side slopes from 1.5H:1 V to 3H:1 V as well as put back a thick subsoil for plant <br />growth. Overburden will be placed back on the pit floor as the pit advances in a way that allows <br />flood irrigation. <br />2. Mining Timetable <br />The following table (Table D-2) is a best estimate of the sequence of operations for the life of <br />the mine and is based on producing 120,000 tons per year. <br />Simmons Pit, March 2009 D-2
