Reclamation Completed During 2008:
The area opened at Site 7 on the Two Point claim was closed, re-contoured, and reseeded.
Silt fences were installed below the reclaimed area. Field checks in October 2008 showed
good growth.
Trees were planted on Site 7 on the Two Point Mine. About 50 ponderosa pine were
planted along with 30 mixed meadow rose, mountain mahogany, and wax currant. Tree
and shrub growth on other reclaimed sites is doing well.
The two prospects opened on the C & J No. 1 and Free Hawk were reseeded with native
grass mix. These sites did not have timber and the nearby timber should reseed into these
areas now they have been disturbed.
Native grass which was planted during 2007 is doing well on all reclaimed sites.
The access road to the Free Hawk was water-barred and seeded. Growth appeared good
when inspected in October. The road will be reclaimed approximately 2011.
Proposed 2009 Operations:
Operations will be in conjunction with operations on Colorado Calumet Company claims
and Glacier Peak Mining claims between early May through early August. Mechanized
operations will be limited to 15 working days on the Crystaljack claims. We will use a
John Deere 992 and/or 690 track hoe on the Two Point Mine and continue operations at
Site 7 and begin excavations at Site 6. If time permits, we will resume operations on Site
5 (Site E) on Qui-Buc No. 1. We will also open additional prospects on C & J No. 1 and
the Free Hawk.
Site visits, including mineral extraction, reclamation, and claim maintenance will be
continued throughout the season.
Proposed 2009 Disturbances:
Proposed operations for 2009 at Site 7 on the Two Point Mine will open the site an
additional 0.3 acre, close, and reclaim the site. Site 6 will be opened approximately 0.2
acres. A portion of this site may remain open for 2010 work. Prospects on the northern
claims will be approximately 0.07 acre. If Site E on Qui-Buc No. 1 is worked, it will be
expanded approximately 0.04 acre.
Proposed 2009 Reclamation:
All sites and prospects opened during 2009 will be closed and reclaimed, except possibly
Site 5 (Site E) on Qui-Buc No. 1 and Site 6 on the Two Point. In this case, they will be
made safe for the winter.
