III. COMMENTS- COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during
the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the
facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action
Processing Waste: TCC is working the southern portion of RDA (area 3) and the western portion (area
4). Waste material is being placed at the extreme southern end of these areas. Snowmelt is draining off
the RDA in the appropriate ditches. Clay storage access road requires additional shaping of the ditch to
assure flow remains in the ditch.
TCC has placed topsoil on the Northern portion (Area 1) of the RDA. This work is still rough it was
uncertain if this topsoil laydown is in final configuration. Permanent collection ditch, RDA-lb, on the
north side of the RDA needs clean up. Topsoil replacement operation resulted in topsoil in the RDA-lb
ditch. Soil material needs to be cleaned up around the two 18"culverts on the NW side of the RDA.
Piezometer 5MW has been broken off during the topsoil placement operations. TCC has 10 years of
history on this monitoring well. No new material other than capping of this Area 1 of the RDA has
occurred for years. TCC may wish to evaluate the historical data of 5MW prior to redrilling this
piezometer.
TCC continues to prepare a revision for expansion of the RDA to the east of the existing pile.
Air Resource protection: TCC has permitted and is installing a Meterologic station on the South West
side of the facilities area upslope from Pit 1. The location is flagged but no disturbance has been
initiated.
Records: Records were complete and up to date. Records list accompanies this report.
5 of 7 WHITE- File YELLOW-Operator PINK-Specialist
