were
sent for TCLP analysis on a 48 hour basis to confirm the 20x
assumption.
Those results should be available tomorrow or Saturday.
* E-21 proposes to perform the same methodology in-situ,
essentially
as adding absorbent material, to stabilize the material for safe
removal and
loading. The first three loads or batches will be taken from
representative
slurry material (the area of the trench presumed to be highest in
benzene
concentration), and will be sampled and analyzed for total benzene
(assuming
the existing TCLP analyses confirm the 20x assumption above). If all
three
batches exhibit total benzene below the 20x TCLP threshold, the
remainder of
the material will be stabilized and shipped for disposal as
non-hazardous
waste relying on process knowledge.
Please let us know if this proposed approach is acceptable to CDPHE.
Thanks again for the quick response on this.
Norm
Norman Higley, P.C.
Attorneys at Law
19557 East Main Street, #103
Parker, Colorado 80138
Phone: (303) 805-2855
Fax: (303) 805-2856
6/9/2007
