V
The current excavation at Site C will be extended north and to the east to engulf present
disturbance Site B to complete mining this area of the known deposit (approximately 4,000
square feet). This portion of the excavation will then be reclaimed but not seeded. The
excavation will continue east and south for another 2,000 square feet. Removed topsoil and
gravel for processing will be stored on the reclaimed Site B and to the west until it is processed.
As the excavation continues south in future years, the soil and gravel will be moved off Site B
and the area will be recountoured and reseeded.
Anticipated 2009 Disturbances:
Approximately 0.1 acre will be disturbed including previous disturbance in extending Site C
north and east. An additional 0.05 acre will be disturbed in extending excavation east and south.
Areas that have experienced heavy mineral trespass will be made safe, buried and temporarily
reseeded.
Proposed 2009 Reclamation:
A small portion of previous Site B, up to 1,000 square feet may be ready for reclamation. If so, it
will be recontoured and reseeded.
Sufficiency of Bond:
A reclamation bond of $ 8,477 is held by the State of Colorado. This bond is set aside to cover
annual reclamation efforts for this mining permit.
Respectfully submitted,
XJOSL. DORRIS Atch
Owner/Operator Topaz Mountain Gem Mine Site Maps
