i I"m M, J&T Consulting, Inc.
March 5, 2009
Mr. Michael Cunningham
Environmental Protection Specialist
State of Colorado
Division of Reclamation, Mining, & Safety
1313 Sherman Street - Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Journey Ventures, LLC. - Journey Ventures Pit - 112(c) Application - File No. M-2008-
080 Adequacy Review Response
Dear Mr. Cunningham,
We have received the Division's Preliminary Adequacy Review request for additional
information relating to Journey Ventures, LLC's (JV) application for permit number M-2008-080.
JV offers the following additional information addressing the Division's questions and requests.
General requirements
1. The Division received comments from the Colorado Historical Society, Colorado Division of Water
Resources and Army Corps of Engineers. The letters are attached for your review. Please address
the comments noted in the letters and make any changes in the application as necessary.
The comments noted in the letters do not require that changes be made to the application
however we are including a copy of a letter received from the Colorado Division of Water
Resources and the Colorado Historical Society. We are working with the Colorado Historical
Society to potentially negotiate an easement in the southeastern edge of the property with the
Archaeological Conservancy. We have modified the mine phasing to make this a later phase
such that an easement can eventually be negotiated and the Colorado Historical Society has
concurred with our change.
Application Form
2. The Certification Page has not been filled out completely. Please submit a replacement page and
include a corporate seal. If there is no corporate seal, then either write "no seal" or draw a seal. In
addition, the signatures on this page must be in blue ink.
A replacement Certification Page is attached.
6 4 1 Exhibit A Legal Description and Location Map -No Comment
6 4 2 Exhibit B - Index Map - No Comment
0 1400 W 122°d Avenue - Suite 120 • Westminster CO 80234 • Ph: 303-457-0735 • Fax: 3u3-uzu-us4s
