amec <br />Earth & Environmental <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor, performed visual inspections and surveillance of Ames Activities. <br />Construction observations consisted of the following: <br />• Discussed work plans with Ames foremen and conducted multiple tours of the site. <br />• Observed the removal of topsoil from the LOB areas and placement in the upper topsoil stockpile. <br />• Observed the removal of topsoil from the VLF topsoil stockpile area and placement in the lower <br />stockpile area. <br />• Two samples of unprocessed clay were collected for laboratory testing. Samples were sent to the <br />AMEC lab for permeability testing. The sample numbers were SLF-1-C and SLF-2-C. <br />• Observed removal of slash from the LOB right-of-way. The slash was hauled to the Joe Dandy area. <br />• Al Frias with AMEC Earth and Environmental attended the weekly construction meeting. <br />• One sample of the processed clay was collected and shipped to the AMEC lab for testing (SLF-3-C). <br />No night shift work was performed during the week. <br />No work was performed on Saturday, January 31. Currently no work activities are planned for Saturdays <br />but Ames has indicated that Saturday will be used as a make up day in the event of delay or stoppage <br />during the current planned work periods Monday to Friday. <br />1.
