2.4 Topsoil <br />Topsoil salvage was conducted on the east and west sides of Tenmile Tailing Pond in <br />anticipation of resumption of tailing deposition. The salvaged topsoil was transported to <br />the west end of Robinson Tailing Pond and spread over approximately 10 acres. <br />2.5 Weed Control: <br />Climax's program of weed control continued in 2008. A copy of the final report on 2008 <br />weed control activities by Habitat Management is attached as Appendix II. <br />2.6 Well Monitoring <br />Well monitoring data is presented in Appendix III <br />3.0 Anticipated 2009 Activities <br />Scheduled construction and reseeding activities at Climax planned for 2009 will be less <br />extensive than those performed in 2008. The following activities are planned for 2009: <br />• 5-Dam pump back final punch list and certification <br />• Monitoring of the East Fork Arkansas River channel. <br />• Reseeding of areas redisturbed by the 2010 Project and areas resoiled <br />from the Robinson Lake Cleanout Project. <br />• Continued weed control. <br />In addition to revegetation activities, a new amendment (AM-06) is scheduled to be <br />submitted by mid April 2009. This amendment will identify additional areas of affected <br />lands throughout the permitted boundary. <br />Climax 2010 Project <br />Regarding activities associated with the Climax 2010 Project, the following are being <br />evaluated for 2009: <br />• Complete work authorized under CDOT's Utility Permit No. 14064. <br />• Domestic Water Treatment System. <br />• Camp utility corridor work (water and gas pipelines).
