Cultural Practices <br />• Seeding will occur between October 1 and April 30, or between <br />June 15 and July 15 in order to take advantage of available soil <br />moisture conditions. <br />• Following seeding, weed-free grass hay mulch will be applied by <br />blowing at a rate of approximately 2 tons/acre, and mechanically <br />crimped (or netted where necessary) to anchor against blowing. <br />• Fertilizer will be applied at a rate of 40 Ibs/.ac. available nitrogen, <br />and 40 Ibs./ac. available phosphorus as recommended by the <br />NRCS for the site. This translates to 87 Ibs./ac. 46-0-0, and 89 <br />Ibs./ac. 0-45-0 would that would be required. <br />• If weeds become problem some, either a chemical herbicide (2,4- <br />D) will be applied at a rate of 1 pound per acre, or flash grazing <br />will be employed around August 15th. <br />Access Road <br />The access road will left open for use by the landowner. <br />-10-
