The yield acceleration
was calculated at six locations along the height of the dam by considering potential failure
surfaces that initiated upstream of the crest. Average maximum accelerations were computed
at 13 locations along the height of the dam using results from SHAKE analysis. Computer
output of the pseudo-static stability analysis and SHAKE analysis are included in Appendices
B and C, respectively.
Figures 3.3a through 3.3c present the computed acceleration at the crest of the dam, its
Fourier transform, and velocity, respectively from the SHAKE analysis.
