EXHIBIT B <br />SITE DISCRIPTION <br />The general characteristics of the proposed 110 Limited Impact Permit area are as follows: <br />A. Location: A tract of land located in the southwest quarter (SW <br />Y4) of the northwest quarter (NW %) of Section 27, <br />T4N, R70W of the 6th P.M., Larimer County, <br />Colorado, two miles west of County Road 27E, <br />approximately one mile north of the Boulder <br />County line, two miles south of Carter Lake. <br />B. Vegetation & Soil Characteristics: <br />The native vegetation in the proposed 110 Limited Impact Permit area is about 70 to 80 percent <br />grasses, 10 to 20 percent frobs and 15 to 30 percent shrubs and trees. The proposed 110 Limited <br />Impact Permit area gives a browse type vegetation appearance. True Mountain mahogany, big <br />bluestem, little bluestem, sideoats grams, yellow Indiangrass and Graffith wheatgrass are the <br />dominate plants. Needleandthread, mountain muhly, Sandberg bluegrass, blue grams, <br />Junegrass and Indian ricegrass are also present. Numerous forbs and other shrubs are present in <br />small amounts. Pinyon pine, Rocky Mountain juniper and ponderosa pine are also found in small <br />amounts on the proposed 110 Limited Impact Permit area. <br />The soils of the proposed 110 Limited Impact Permit area are shallow and well drained. They <br />occur on upland ridges and formed primarily from sandstone and limestone. Surface texture can <br />very form sandy loam to a loam. <br />For additional information regarding the vegetation and soil makeup of the proposed 110 <br />Limited Impact Permit area please see the attached Custom Soil Resource Report for Larimer <br />County Area, Colorado, Meadow Hollow Quarry. <br />G. Permanent Man Made Structures: <br />There are no permanent manmade structures within 200' feet of the proposed 110 Limited <br />Impact Permit area.
