~. EMBANKMENT SPECIFICATIO.*7S <br />~ - <br />The embankment will be a zoned design. The inner core will be <br />Constructed of material removed from the designated borrow area. <br />The material will be placed (for maximum impermeability) in no greater <br />than six inch lifts. Water will be adde3 as needed to the soil during <br />compaction to achieve the maximum recommended density (note attached <br />. soil repot). Moisture content and compaction will be monitored by <br />the ovrner's representative. The core will have a 2 to 1 upstream <br />slope and a 1-1/2 to 1 downstream slope. <br />The outer_aone...will-be-constructed- of-a-pervious-material located at <br />the designated borrow area. The upstream slope will be 2-1/2 to 1 <br />and the do~.vnstream a 2 to 1 (Note that the embankment will not be <br />subject to rapid draw-down). <br />The embankment will have a total of seven feet of free-board plus <br />a 3°S camber allowance for settlement. The free-board will consist of <br />a four foot entrance depth at the emergency spillway plus three feet <br />of residual free-board. . .. _ .. <br />~ - Rip-rap will be placed on the upstream slope from the toe to the crest <br />of the embankment. - <br />In accc:dance vrith the Mined Land Reclamation Act HB 1065, the down- <br />stream slope of the embankment will be retopsoiled and revegetated. <br />The embankment will be monitored through the use of coocdirate pins <br />placed at various locations on the embankment.
