Motion passed. <br />,~r~rt>w>w* <br />The Board recessed from 12:30 p.m. to 1:40 p.m. for lunch. <br />•AAA\FRAM <br />VANDY: The Gunnison County Board of Commissioners Honored <br />Vandy Coffey upon her retirement after twenty-two years of <br />Gunnison County Public Health Nurse and Director. The Board <br />expressed its appreciation with a Special Resolution No. 19- <br />1993 which was presented to Mrs. Coffey. <br />GUERRIERI: Commissioner Santarelli said that Mr. Bill Guer- <br />rieri recalls that t}:e County had made an agreement with liim <br />in 1966 in regard to a County road. The agreement will be <br />researched, then discussed at the regular Board meeting of <br />June 15, 1993. <br />BIKE: Discussion was held in regard to a letter from Ken Mac- <br />Lennan in which he asks for the Board's support in urging the <br />State to sweep the shoulder of the highways out of Gunnison to <br />make the road safer for bicyclists. County Manager Tomsic will <br />write the letter to the Colorado Department of Transportation <br />and will also write to Mr. MacLennan. <br />DISTRICT: Commissioner Zanetell reviewed her plan for an <br />annual report form for Special Districts in Gunnison County. <br />Commissioner Santarelli suggested adding a cover letter of <br />explanation. Moved by Commissioner Zanetell, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Santarelli to adopt an annual report form for the <br />Special Districts which were originally formed with resolut- <br />ions of approval by the Board of Commissioners of Gunnison <br />County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado laws and that we send a <br />cover letter with that from County Manager Gary Tomsic <br />exrlaining to citizens that we have adopted this and, pursu- <br />ant to law, that we respectfully ask them to fill this out <br />hereafter and to enclose their annual mill levy certification <br />with it and that we send it annually around November 1 and <br />request that it be sent to the County Manager (at!:ention of <br />tl~e County Finance Officer) and each year our own staff will <br />p~~ovide copies to the Assessor and Clerk. Motion passed. <br />DL•'AR COAL: Moved by Commissioner Santarelli, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Zanetell to adopt and approve the findings and <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission with regard to the <br />screening plant at Bear Coal Company, Land Use Change 1993- <br />10, as a Minor Impact, with the following conditions: 1) '1'IiaL- <br />oreration of this plant shall not occur until the Air Emis- <br />sions Permit has been issued by the Colorado Department of <br />Health and that a copy of that permit is submitted by the <br />applicant. 2) That this screening plant is approved only for <br />the purpose of screening the remaining coal reserves from Bear <br />Coal p3 Mine. This approval does not contemplate or authorize <br />screening of other coal from other sites. 3) That haulage of <br />loads of fines or "bug dust" coal shall be covered or sprayed <br /> <br />
