Surface will be left roughened ("pocking") as part of the seed bed FS <br /> preparation. <br /> 145. Revegetation of all reclaimed areas would include reapplication of <br /> seed (and a Forest Service recommended fertilizer if necessary) and <br /> periodic watering by the operator if revegetation is unsuccessful <br /> within two growing seasons after construction is completed. <br /> 146. A seed infix palatable for both wildlife and livestock would be used <br /> for revegetation to support the post-mining land uses. <br />Reclamation Plan 147. A Reclamation Plan (reviewed by the Forest Service), submitted as DRMS <br /> part of a DRMS mine permit revision, prior to any construction <br /> activities, will include, but not limited to, methods, seeding species <br /> and seeding rates. <br />COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />SMA Requirements 148. When no longer needed for its intended use each drilled hole or <br /> borehole, wells, or other exposed underground opening shall be <br /> capped, sealed, backfilled, or otherwise properly managed, as <br /> required by the Division and consistent with 30 CFR 75.1711. <br /> Permanent closure measures shall be designed to prevent access to <br /> the mine workings by people, livestock, fish and wildlife, <br /> machinery and to keep acid or other toxic drainage from entering <br /> ground or surface waters. <br /> 151. Exploration holes, drill holes or boreholes, wells or other exposed <br /> underground openings not completed to aquifers shall be sealed by <br /> replacing cuttings or other suitable media in the hole and placing a <br /> suitable plug 10 feet below the ground surface to support a cement <br /> plug or other media to within 3 feet of the ground surface. The hole <br /> will be marked. <br /> 152. A surface plug shall be placed in accordance with 4.07.3(1) and the <br /> hole shall be marked. <br />`Canada Lynx Conservation Assessment and Strategy <br />Developments Associated with Project <br />Proposal <br />Constructing an estimated 0.64 miles of road <br />on private land and drilling and casing of up to <br />19 MDWs at up to 11 sites on private land. <br />The effects of these activities are considered in <br />the effects analyses in Chapter 3.
