5.) Please explain how livestock will be excluded from the site during reclamation?
6.) Please indicate the scientific name of the species of grass that will be planted for
reclamation.
7.) According to Exhibit J, there is a diverse number of grasses that grow naturally in this
area. Given this information, the Division recommends adding several species to the
seedmix to diversify the post mine vegetation. It appears that sand blue stem
(Andropogon hallii), needle-and-thread (Hesperostipa comata ssp. comata), switchgrass
(Panicum virgatum) and western wheatgrass (Pascopyrum smithii) are dominant species
in the area; please add these species to the seed mix.
8.) The mining plan indicates that reclamation will be concurrent with mining. At what
point will reclamation begin in a certain area or phase and what reclamation work will be
done? Please submit a schedule for how and when the site will be reclaimed as it relates
to how the site will be mined.
6.4.6 EXHIBIT F - Reclamation Plan Map
1.) The map must be signed by a registered land surveyor professional engineer or other
qualified person. Please display the date of when the map was prepared. Please display a
map scale, keep in mind that the map scale can be no larger that linch = 50 feet nor
smaller than 1 inch = 660 feet.
2.) Please display the expected physical appearance of the area of the affected land once
reclamation of the entire site is complete. The map must show the proposed topography
of the area with contour lines of sufficient detail to portray the direction and rate of slope
of all reclaimed lands.
3.) Please portray the proposed final land use (rangeland) for the entire mine site.
4.) Please highlight and display the existing one lane road that will be left when
reclamation is closed.
6.4.7 EXHIBIT G - Water Information
l.)
