The reclamation plan for the collection pond remains unchanged from previous plans.
The reclamation cost has been updated to reflect current labor and equipment rates.
EA Areas Disturbed by Construction
The estimated limits of construction disturbance are shown on the Reclamation Plan
Maps (Section F). Construction disturbances have been grouped into three
categories; (1) disturbance of existing areas of disturbance that have not yet been
reclaimed, (2) redisturbance of existing areas of disturbance that have recently been
reclaimed, and (3) new disturbance of previously undisturbed areas. These areas of
construction disturbance consist o£
1. The pond excavation areas within the West Pit (24 acres redisturbance of
recently reclaimed areas, no new disturbance)
2. The excavated material relocation area at the Waste Rock B stockpile (6.9
acres redisturbance of recently reclaimed area, no new disturbance)
3. The irrigation pipeline (20.5 acres new disturbance), 9.1 acres within existing
BMRI permit area (new disturbance), 8.4 within pipeline corridor (primarily
redisturbance of previously reclaimed area), and 2.9 on ranch property outside
of irrigation circles (new disturbance)
4. The topsoil stockpile located along the TDA access road (approximately 1.5
acres redisturbance)
5. The TDA spillway area (2.3 acres new disturbance).
The outslopes of the West Pit ponds and the Waste Rock B stockpile will be
contoured to match the existing reclaimed surface (3 to 1 [horizontal to vertical] or
flatter [see Exhibit G]), covered with a minimum of 12 inches of topsoil, and seeded
according to the seed mixture specified in the original permit. The pipeline corridor
will be reclaimed by backfilling the pipeline trench, contouring to blend with the
surrounding topography, and applying seed to the areas. Re-disturbance areas in the
topsoil stockpile will be contoured at 3 to 1 or flatter to blend with the surrounding
slopes and seeded. Areas disturbed by construction of the TDA spillway will be
Battle Mountain Resources, Inc. 18
P:\Pmjects\212-Ne nt(SenLiris)\Sen =\Petmit Amendment - West Pit Management\V5 Report & PDFs\TertWermitAmeniIrnent-v5c.doc December 2007
