6.4.6 -Exhibit F, the Reclamation Map
Please provide a map for the Office/Scale area.
-Please see attached office/Scale area map.
6.4.13 - Exhibit M, Other Permits.
It is noted that the Corp of Army Engineers has not, to date, made any comments regarding the
proposed activity. Please clarify if the Corp was contacted by the applicant.
-Western Gravel contacted the Army Corp of Engineers regarding this project. Nathan Green of
the Army Corp of Engineers performed an onsite inspection of the mining areas as a
requirement from the local County Government. Rio Blanco County was satisfied with Mr.
Green's findings and a verbal notification of satisfaction was issued.
6.4.19 - Exhibit S, Permanent Man-made structures.
It is noted that there are several fence lines along or through the proposed permit area. Please
list and provide a damage agreement for these structures.
-Please see attached fence damage agreement between Western Gravel and Sam Love.
It is noted that there are power lines within 200 feet of the permit boundaries. The power lines
should be listed and a damage agreement provided.
-Power lines are noted on the Exhibit maps provided and a damage agreement with White River
Electric Association is attached.
In addition to the items discussed above, We have included the plans from the engineer who designed
the road across the BLM portion of the project. This was discussed at the site visit. Also, the permit
road, adjacent to the river, will be a one-lane road with pullouts for visual aid. These additions are
shown on the exhibits included in this package. Projected phasing of the mining operation has been
determined for bonding. Please see enclosed maps showing this information.
Respectfully,
JSC, Inc.
Jonathan L. Joy PLS, GISP
P.O. Box 1153
Meeker, CO 81641
