provide a narrative that describes the approximate volume of inert material to be <br />backfilled. Provide a signed affidavit certifying that the material is clean and <br />inert as defined in Rule 1.1 (20). <br />D.) It is clear that trees, shrubs and an understory of grasses are to be established in <br />the sediment basin areas. Will you be using the same grass seed mix and amount <br />planned to be used for the pit floor or side slopes, or will a different type be used. <br />Also, it states on the diagram entitled "Daniels Sand Pit Reclamation Plan - A- <br />A', that the sediment basins will be vegetated with invaded cottonwood and <br />willows, and planted if needed. How will you decide if trees will need to be <br />planted, will you have a defined trigger point to begin planting? Please submit <br />details about how the sediment basin areas are to be forested. <br />6.4.6 EXHIBIT F - Reclamation Plan May <br />This section is adequate as submitted. <br />6.4.7 EXHIBIT G - Water Information <br />This section is adequate as submitted. <br />6.4.8 EXHIBIT H - Wildlife Information <br />A.) On April 16`h, 2008 the Division received a letter from the Colorado Division of <br />Wildlife pursuant to the application. They are concerned about the removal of <br />trees during the operation that may be occupied by historic nest sites. They have <br />also commented on the amount of trees they feel should be replaced during <br />reclamation.
