Victor and Cripple Creek Mining Company to keep him informed The mining company
is required under the C.R.S. to keep a person such as Mr. Collister informed. Mr.
Collister is currently 85 years old and will not likely see the end of this reclamation and
believes it is the responsibility of the mining company to keep the neighbors of the mines
up to date on activities. For example, please at your convenience, think of answers to the
following questions: 1. Has any underground mining work (i.e. drilling) been done on
any of Mr. Collisters minerals, which he owns? Mr. Collister was never approached by
anybody to buy or lease any part of his mineral surveys from the last reclamation
approved until today's date. Mining company should be involved in any situation
immediately when they need a lease or deed to lands that they need to use. 2. In a similar
vein of thinking, are there any amounts due to his friends or neighbors who should
receive some money for the question one type situation.? 3. Is there any reason why the
mining company cannot app uwh an owner to lease or deed an interest by a friend or
neighbor, at any time?
Very truly Yom
William B. Collister
P.S. My parents spent the first two years of their married life in the town of Victor from
1913 to 1915. In the course of that two year period they became good friends with
Doctor Thomas and became members of the Victor Book Club. I personally went to visit
Dr. Thomas in 1945 while a student at Princeton Univ. We became friends and had a
good time.
Red 357
