Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for coal <br />mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by CAM Mining, LLC on May 2, 2007 for the <br />Munger Canyon Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.07.4(2)(c) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. The mine is <br />inactive and largely reclaimed; activities under the renewal permit will be limited to reclamation, <br />monitoring, and maintenance. No further coal extraction, waste disposal or other mining activity is <br />proposed or approved. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by <br />the Division in the The Daily Sentinel. <br />The underground mine is located approximately 18 miles North of Loma, Colorado. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />Mine site: Portions of Sections 27, 289 29, T7S, R102W, 6th P.M., all in Garfield County. <br />Rail Loadout: Portions of Section 34, T2N, R3W, Ute PM, in Mesa County. <br />Portions of Section 3, TIN, R3 W, Ute PM, in Mesa County. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the 81501 addr s ,tas <br />well as at the Division's Grand Junction office (101 South 3", Suite 301, Grand Junction, , and at <br />Mesa County Clerk and Recorder.
