Rule 6.4.19 Exhibit S - Permanent Man-Made Structures
13. As stated in Exhibit G, The Templeton Irrigation Ditch runs to the west of
the present permit area and will eventually be affected by the new mining
operation. At the time that the ditch will be affected, it will be relocated around the
affected area with uninterrupted continuity.
Lake County does not intend to mine through the Templeton Ditch until such time
as feasibility of having the ditch in its present location is no longer an acceptable
alternative. The mining plan map shows the general area of the Templeton
Ditch; with the mine activities on either side, it is the intention of the County to
mine the area to the North and West of the present pit along the Ditch buffer
zone first. Leaving the area along the ditch including a 1S' roadway for ditch
access and with the slope from this buffer zone to the pit floor of no greater than
4h:1v slope. When this area has been mined and mining operation requires
moving across the ditch. The County will install culverts in the ditch to provide
access to the south and west area of the mine property. When this area has
been mined out, the County will look into moving the ditch to a new location
along the south and west property lines or where the most feasible new
permanent location can be determined at that time.
14.
