Lake County Half Moon Pit
#M-77-071
Lake County, Colorado
LAKE COUNTY NOXIOUS WEED BOARD
P.O. Box 27
Leadville, Colorado 80461
September 21, 2007
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Dear RMS,
The Lake County Noxious Weed Board (LCNWB) has managed the noxious weed
program for Lake County since 1992. Included in the noxious weed program is a noxious
weed management plan for the Lake County Half-moon gravel pit. This plan addresses
identification, mapping, control, possible eradication and monitoring of all noxious weed
infestations on that site.
It is our understanding that Lake County Road and Bridge Department, who manages the
site, is requesting to increase this size of this gravel pit. The LCNWB will incorporate
this expansion into the current Half-moon Weed Management Plan. The plan will insure
that the LCNWB annually inspects and controls all noxious weeds identified at the
expanded site.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding noxious weed management at
the Halfinoon site.
Sincerely,
Greg Brunjak
? C
Chairman
LCNWB
Lake County Half Moon Pit
#M-77-071
Lake County, Colorado
