Staff has calculated the initial reclamation liability for the proposed increase of the <br />mine using information within the application and information submitted by A.J. Botti Construction & Gravel. <br />The estimate is based on what it would cost the state to hire a contractor to reclaim the site if the bond was <br />forfeited and not necessarily what it would cost A. J. Botti Construction & Gravel to do the work. <br />Staff's estimate for the proposed reclamation of the site i $17,755.00. his breaks down to $2349.00 per <br />acre which is about average for similar types of operations. he stra t forward mine plan, day-lighting to <br />the north and the area of the proposed additional excavation helped keep the cost in check. Please review the <br />estimate carefully.
