M-2001-107 <br />Pg. 2 <br />(4) In accordance with Rule 6.4.3(e), please portray on Exhibit C - Map, the type of present vegetation covering the <br />affected lands. <br />Rule 6.4.4 Exhibit D - Mining Plan <br />(1) In accordance with Rule 6.4.4(c), please provide information on anticipated water diversions and impoundments <br />in the expanded area. If no water diversions or impoundments are in the plan, please provide a statement to that <br />effect. <br />(2) Regarding the production of gold as an incidental product (pg. 6), will there be gold processing facilities on site? <br />(3) Rule 6.4.4(e) requires an approximate timetable for mining. Applicant has provided an approximate length of <br />mining of each phase at 9 to 15 months, but has not provided an estimate of the starting date of mining in the <br />expanded area. <br />(4) In accordance with Rule 6.4.4(f)(ii), please provide the "nature of the stratum immediately beneath the material <br />to be mined." <br />(5) In accordance with Rule 6.4.4(i), please specify if explosives will be used in conjunction with the mining or <br />reclamation, and if so, provide a demonstration that offsite areas will not be adversely affected by blasting. <br />Rule 6.4.5 Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan <br />(1) Please show on Exhibit F - Reclamation Plan Map, the location of the pipeline that will connect the two cells of <br />the water storage reservoir. Please also include dimensions and material comprising the pipe. <br />(2) For the portion of the expanded area that will not be reclaimed as water storage reservoir (the area immediately <br />south of the 17.4 acre reclaimed reservoir), please describe the proposed reclamation, i.e., regrading, topsoiling, <br />seeding, etc, or if no disturbance will occur there, please indicate. <br />(3) Because such a high proportion of the area will be reclaimed as water storage, is there a possibility of unused <br />overburden or soil stockpiled on site, and if so, what are the plans for long-term stabilization of the piles or <br />transport off site? <br />Rule 6.4.7 Exhibit G - Water Information <br />(1) The Division is unable to locate on Exhibit C - Mining Plan Map the "process water pond" referred to on page <br />41 of this section of the application. Is that the pond on the map labeled as "TEMPORARY CRUSHING AND <br />SCREENING POND?" <br />(2) The Division is unable to locate on Exhibit C - Mining Plan Map the "0.5 acre sedimentation pond" referred to <br />on page 41 of this section of the application. Is that the pond on the map labeled as "TEMPORARY <br />DEWATERING POND?" <br />(3) In accordance with Rule 6.4.7(2)(b), please identify on Exhibit C - Map all known aquifers.
