Another issue that should be addressed in this area is the large Purgatoire River culvert
beneath the access road just west of the weir box. Permit conditions allow for the cleaning of
this culvert twice each year as necessary. Given the reduced culvert capacity, it is likely that
this cleanout may be prudent.

Processing Waste
The Refuse Disposal Area
(RDA) appeared normal with
no signs or erosion, slumps, or RDA
of any kind. Pond 8
treats storm runoff from the
RDA. The pond held water
some 4-5 vertical feet below
the top of the drop inlet
primary. Downdrains and
upland diversions were found
in normal and functional
condition. The berm along the
face of the operational surface
remains in good condition
after recent maintenance
work.
