Map King II-005.
COLORADO
D IV IS I ON OF
RECLAMATION
MINING
SAFETY
Bill Ritter, Jr.
Governor
Harris D. Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
a. Please identify separately on the map the areal extent of surface disturbance and
the areal extent of underground mine workings. [2.05.3(2)]
b. Please show details of the underground workings on the map as you have done in
the past for the King I Mine workings. Mine subsidence may cause surface
cracks at the King II Mine. The details of the workings on a map enables
evaluation of subsidence impacts (for example, correlation of surface cracks with
rooms, pillars, and pillar removal). [2.10.3(1)(1)]
c. Please revise the affected area or permit boundary so the affected area does not
extend beyond the permit boundary [1.04(89) and 1.04(7)].
2. Map King II-007.
a. Please revise the third paragraph on page 1 of Section 2.05.3 of the permit
application to accurately indicate which map shows the workings.
3. Appendices 1, 2, and 3 (SEDCAD runs)
a. Please submit revised SEDCAD runs, using the Type II storm applicable to the
area.
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
