Consolidated Constructors, Inc.
Also, in Exhibit R-la, we have designated a proposed phase boundary line move when we proceed
to phase 2. This will allow us to bench the highwall in phase 1 along the phase 1 / 2 border to a
safe slope. Then mine this area down as we mine out phase 2. This exact location of the common
boundary will be determined prior to beginning the actual move into phase 2.
Our actual move to Phase 2 will require a move of the crusher, scales, and stockpile locations.
These changes will be determined and reported to you after we aze closer to the completion of
Phase 1 crushing.
We will continue to use berms throughout the mine for safety measures, for water retainage, and
for sight/appearance appreciation. The interior berms will change for safety and water control.
The exterior berms will mostly be used for cosmetics and appearance as well as storm water
containment.
We believe this revised process of mining the azea is more efficient, safer, and easier to maintain
than the original.
We are submitting a La Plata County Landowner Weed Management Plan that was prepared by
Mr. Rod Cook, La Plata County Weed Officer. We are asking to have this Weed Control Plan
incorporated into our Mine Plan.
We aze asking for you to review and adopt these revised mining plan changes for Permit No. M-
2003-003. For this technical revision we are enclosing our check for $216.00.
If we need to write an additional letter to formally request the technical revision or if we need to
submit additional information, please let us know and we will make every effort to submit the
materials that you need in a timely manner.
Regazds,
d
~~ ~~~-%
"Joe Kozimo
