boulder check dams were noted during the inspection. The check dams through this area will
require repair in order to stabilize the drainage.
Additional maintenance and repair items noted within the bond release areas:
• Parcel A-C-05 (7.1 ac), SL-08 Phase I —Fresh disturbance noted from drill hole 08-16 and
associated pad. Although the area meets the Phase 1 criteria, the timeline for reclamation for
the area of the pad will be required to start at the onset of the new disturbance. See photo
below:
• Parcel H-C-04 (26.2ac), SL-08 Phase 1 and SL-09 Phase II — Reclaimed area contains a small
road eastward into the reclamation with evidence of a small gully running the length of the
road on the north and east sides. The gully was noted as showing signs of down cutting with
little vegetation establishment in the gully. Repairs should be done in order to slow the
erosional characteristics of the gully. See photo below:
c
• Parcel D-8-04 (16.4ac), SL-08 Phase 1 and SL-09 Phase II—Area of reclamation directly east
of NNE#4 on the eastern edge of the reclamation contains a narrow gully that showed signs
of down cutting from the reclamation into the disturbed area. Repairs should be done in order
to slow the erosional characteristics of the gully.
• Parcel D-AB-97 (43.3ac), SL-10 Phase III—Two gullies originating in the southernmost shrub
clump of the parcel, continuing into the first contour ditch and over-topping the ditch. The
gullies continue north through the reclamation until coming to an area of previously repaired
gully work. The down cutting in the gullies has cut through the topsoil in some areas. Brush
repair would be the best course to repair these gullies. Small gullies were also evident
coming out of the northern shrub clump of the parcel. The above listed repair should be
initiated in these gullies as well. See photo below:
