plan is in harmony with the goals of the 1998 Greeley Open Space System Plan <br />associated with wetlands, riparian areas and floodplains. <br />Please see Exhibit H for additional wildlife information. <br />Topsoiling <br />All suitable soil material will be salvaged for topsoil replacement. The top two to six inches <br />of soil on the existing and proposed amendment properties is generally classified as <br />topsoil. This layer includes the root zone of grasses and crops. Topsoil will be replaced, <br />where required, in reclaimed areas at a depth of approximately six to twelve inches (topsoil <br />will not be required in silt basins). <br />The topsoil will be segregated and stored separately from the overburden material as <br />required by Rule 3.1.9(1). The mine plan map depicts the location and configuration of the <br />topsoil berms. The berms will be protected from wind and water erosion by vegetative <br />cover if in place more than one year. The stockpiles will be seeded and incorporated into <br />the site weed control program. <br />Revegetation <br />Following topsoil replacement, reseeding will be performed according to SCS <br />recommended practices.
