Current operations include an aggregate processing plant for screening, crushing and
washing of aggregate material, a ready-mix concrete batch plant and an asphalt plant. A
portable recycling plant for concrete/asphalt is used on the site as needed.
Earth Movinq Equipment
Conveyors (30)
Scrapers (1-4 intermittently)
Loaders (4)
Dozer
Excavator
Road Grader
Backhoe
Skid Steers
Haul Trucks (5)
Operational Equipment/Facilities
Aggregate bins
Dewatering pumps
Diesel powered generators (1-2 -
intermittently as needed)
Fuel Truck
Mechanic Truck
Water Trucks (4)
Ready-mix concrete trucks (12)
Quality Control, Oil, Compressor, Pump
Sheds (4)
Office, Tool, Equipment, Supply, Storage
TrailersNans (7)
Truck Scale/Scale House
Fuel Tanks (2)
Hot Oil Tanks
Portable Toilets (2) (in addition to sanitary
facilities at office house)
Bottled Water (in addition to Sharks Tooth
water supply)
Cement Pigs (2)
Shop Building
A proposed conveyor crossing of County Road 64 will consist of a 12' wide, 10' tall box
under the road. As set forth in the existing permit, a conveyor will also cross the Cache La
Poudre River. The conveyor bridges across the river will be steel; the footings will be
anchored in concrete. Details for the conveyor crossings will be provided with the local
building permits required for such structures prior to construction. Upon completion of
mining operations, the conveyors will be removed and all areas affected by the conveyors
will be restored to their original condition.
The mining operation does not propose to generate hazardous materials or waste. Fuels
and lubricants stored and/or used on site in association with the mining operation are
managed in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations, including a Spill
Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plan (SPCC) developed and certified by a
registered professional engineer. The SPCC plan includes procedures for the safe
transfer and containment of petroleum products stored on site as well as emergency
response procedures in the event of a spill of such products.
Additionally, in compliance with the CDPS discharge permit for this operation, a
Stormwater Mangement Plan (SWMP) has been developed and implemented, and is
updated as necessary. The SWMP is designed to prevent the contact and transport of
potential contaminants by stormwater flows.
Riverview Resource
Amendment to Permit M1999098 112c
Page D5 of D6
