? review the DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS, and related guidance documents; <br />? review all CONTRACTOR QC submittals and make appropriate <br />recommendations; <br />? obtain preconstruction and construction samples and perform material <br />evaluation testing as required; <br />? monitor foundation preparation activities as discussed in Section 6.02.01 <br />and material placement as discussed in Section 6.02.02; <br />? assure that testing equipment used and tests performed are conducted <br />according to SPECIFICATIONS and industry standards; <br />? document and report test results to MANAGER; <br />? report any deficiencies to MANAGER that are not corrected to the <br />satisfaction of the CQA Monitor, including design or SPECIFICATION <br />changes; and <br />? prepare a Construction Certification Report describing the construction, any <br />deviations from SPECIFICATIONS or DRAWINGS and details, details of all <br />field and laboratory test data, tests results (both laboratory and field), <br />professional certification that construction was completed in accordance <br />with the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS. The Construction Certification <br />Report will be signed and sealed by the CERTIFYING ENGINEER registered in <br />the State of Colorado; <br />? monitor the ambient air temperature and fill temperature, as outlined in <br />specification Section 2200; and, <br />? maintain an on-site soils laboratory and perform regular calibration of <br />equipment. <br />2.06 EARTHWORKS CONTRACTOR <br />The Earthworks Contractor, also referred to as "CONTRACTOR", is responsible for proper <br />processing, delivery and placement of all components as outlined in the SPECIFICATIONS. <br />The CQA Monitor shall be capable of direct communication with MANAGER, DESIGN <br />ENGINEER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER at all times. Deficiencies that can be easily <br />remedied, such as unsatisfactory test results, will be dealt with directly between the CQA <br />Monitor, and CONTRACTOR. The CQA Monitor will also discuss any deficiencies with the <br />CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />If there is a disagreement among the DESIGN ENGINEER, CERTIFYING ENGINEER, and/or <br />MANAGER that can not be resolved among themselves, MANAGER shall present the <br />matter to CC&V with MANAGER related recommendations and CC&V shall decide the <br />matter with such decision being final. <br />Section 01400.1 Page 3 of 11 March 22, 2000 <br />Earthworks COA Plan Golder Associates Revision 5 <br />[A9912099Uinal repankspeca%0140016.doc
