M. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the
inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or
evidence supporting the enforcement action.
Support Facilities continued
The bone yard, former office, and the shop areas were viewed. These locations appeared well
kept. Perimeter areas at these locations were also maintained and no problems were noted.
Reclamation Success
Two significant erosion features were noted during the SL-3 bond release inspection recently
conducted at the site in July. These locations were inspected and found to be adequately repaired
and stabilized. The first location was a gully below Road El that flowed into the upper reach of
Channel PM-22. Water bars have been installed across Road E1 and the gully has been
backfilled and seeded (see attached Photo No. 1). The second location was a gully located on the
steep slope to the north of South Road within the Pond 004 watershed. As seen in attached
Photo No. 2, this location has been successfully backfilled and graded and the location seeded.
