crossing would be installed across Surveyor Creek. Please provide details of what
kind of crossing will be installed (ie: culverts, Arizona crossing, bridge, etc). The
maps that were submitted as part of the Permit Application will need to be revised to
reflect the change in the permit boundary including the location of this crossing. As
noted in the inspection report, the Operator may choose to reconfigure the permit
boundary by moving the east permit boundary to the west side of Surveyor Creek.
The acreage that is lost by moving the east permit boundary could be used to include
the construction of the haul road. Also, any substantial improvement to the existing
two-track road would result in the need to increase the affected acreage to include this
road segment as well. If the Operator anticipates the need to improve the two-track
road, then it should also be included in the affected acreage. The Applicant should
note that any increase above the proposed 9.41 acres will result in an amendment to
the Permit Application. If the reconfiguration of the permit boundary results in an
overall decrease in acreage, this will need to be noted in the Permit Application.
Please remember that the decision date for this application is October 12, 2008. As
previously mentioned if you are unable to provide satisfactory responses to any
inadequacies prior to this date, it will be your responsibility to request an extension of
time to allow for continued review of this application. If there are still unresolved
issues when the decision date arrives and no extension has been requested, the application
will be denied.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303) 866-4196.
Sincerel,
9'A.
