Item 15: Eight y, Page 2.
"The maps that show the expanded permitted area boundary should also show
and label the existing 3.5-acre permit boundary. "
RESPONSE: The Figures (in particular Figures A.6, B.1, B.2 (a and b), B.3, and B.5)
have been amended to depict the `current' permit boundary (road prisms
included) and the proposed permit boundaries.
Item 16: Ninth entry, Page 2.
"Numerous maps.... Level 3 pad.. should be moved about 600 feet father to the
southeast.. "
RESPONSE: Comment noted, and where possible this adjustment was made; however
due to aspect/contortion from aerial imagery the location may appear out of place.
Adjustments were made however based upon visible signs of disturbance and had
to be relied upon since the original Level 3 permit boundary does not contain
survey points from which to rely on (refer to Figures A.6 and B.1).
Item 17: Tenth entry, Page 2.
"Note: the present permitted acreage.... "
RESPONSE: pComment noted and appreciated. Surface area disturbance calculations
were revised based on the road prism area previously permitted. Additional road
prism area was added to the Level 6 access road to encompass the stormwater
outlets (Item 18 below). The permit boundary Figures depict the surface areas
accommodated by feature.
Item 18: Eleventh entry, Page 2.
"This amendment submittal was preceded by receipt of a copy of the most recent
iteration of the SOMP... "
RESPONSE: Comment noted, and addressed with the incorporation of additional road
prism surface area to accommodate the stormwater bmps. The adjusted area is
reflected in the permit boundary Figures A.6 and B.1. Surface area calculations
were also adjusted based upon this addition, as well as the subtraction of area as a
result of information provided in Item 17 above..pAdditional surface area
(average road width of 18' for this permit amendment, whereas the historic permit
accommodated only a 10' wide road prism) was added to the Level 6 access road
prism to account for installed stormwater best management practice features (roll
and dip bars, stormwater culverts + outfalls).
Item 19: Exhibit T. Paize 2.
"Exhibit T (Rule 6.4.20)... Environmental Protection Plan.. "
RESPONSE: As indicated within the Amendment application, since the Golden Wonder
operations are currently in an exploration stasis, it had to be assumed that ore would be
handled much the same way as it was in the past. As per discussions with the current
operator, ore will be handled/stored underground within unusuable portions of the mine
until sufficient quantity is obtained to move out onto the Level 6 pad. Ore may be stored
Page 7 of 9
