managed and will not reach the surface. The portal will be PUF sealed and
`anchored' into the side walls with the use of re-bar. The newly refurbished
portal has dimensions of 11 feet in width, and 8 feet in height. The PUF seal plug
would likely be placed at the incline (approximately 25 feet underground) where
the portal dimensions are on average: 8' by 8'. This position represents the best
point to install the PUF seal which will be 8' wide by 8' tall by 6 ft in length (to
meet manufacturer specifications for product application). This volume requires
-14 cubic yards of material; which equates to '14 boxes or applications at
200.00$/box (dependent upon market prices since PUF Seal is a petroleum
derivative). The remaining portion of the portal (19 feet in length) will be
backfilled with waste rock material excavated from the waste rock removal (total
volume needed 45 cubic yards). Once the portal is filled, the `cut' slope of which
the portal is a part of, the portal is a part of, will be `benched' as per the Level 6
pad waste rock removal efforts. Ultimately the material will be sloped to match
the adjacent land form gradients, covered with top soil and reseeded.
Item 10: Exhibit E
"The maps all lack a few items, which may be simple to add, since the maps are
all generated digitally.... "
RESPONSE: The maps and drawings were all updated to reflect the requested changes.
Please note that the Figures, Tables and drawings are labeled sequentially in
relation to the original Amendment application `Attachments' that they were apart
of, rather than by the Exhibit.
Item 11: Fourth entry, Page 2.
"On the Mining Map, please depict the explosives magazines, if explosives are
stored onsite. "
RESPONSE: The current location of the explosives was integrated into a new Figure
depicting the Level 3 pad area (Figures 13.2b). In addition, a portion of Exhibit T
`Designated Chemicals' section was amended. The explosives magazines are of
mobile type, made of steel and approved by the ATFE agency as well as by
MSHA. There are two magazines, one for the detonators and one for the blasting
agents. They are both located on the 3rd level pad (Photo #1 to this Letter). The
first one is located 100 ft North of the third level adit and the second one 50 ft
further North. Both magazines are isolated with a dirt berm for safety purpose.
Note: The explosives would definitely be stored underground while in
production.
