§2.05 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE OR UNDERGROUND MINING ACTIVITIES -
MINIMUM REQVIREMENTS FOR OPERATION AND RECLAMATION PLANS.
2.05.4 Reclamation Plan.
(6) (g) (Cont'd)
holes will be sealed after they are no longer used as
ground water monitoring wells.
As illustrated in Figure 2.05-6 in the Final Abandonment
Appendix, Volume 6A, the existing portals have been sealed
by filling the portals with incombustible material for a
distance of 25 feet or more into the portal openings, per
30 CFA, Part 75.1711-2 of the Mine Safety & Health
Administration regulations.
(h) The operator's mining operations are predicated on the
philosophy that coal may be mined without degrading the
environment. For this reason, Section 2.05.6(3)
Reclamation Plan - Protection of Hydrologic Balance, and
Section 2.05.6(1) - Air Pollution Control Plan, within
this application, are strictly followed to ensure that the
requirements of the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act,
and Colorado State requirements are met. The operator has
all necessary air and water quality permits and continues
a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation program
described within the above sections. Revisions will be
made to the permit area as necessary to ensure the quality
of air and
I •
R/V-b4 (4~9~oy)
/fin-(a6
Revised 10/12/86
Added 07/13/87
Revised 07/13/87
Revised 10/01/87
Revised 10/01/87
Revised 01/20/03
78
