Prior to topsoil removal, a deta*m;*+stion of the suitability
of topsoil as seedbed material will be performed as described in Section
Z.05.4(2)(e)(vii). After suitable topsoil depth and appropriate return
depth detorm;nations have been made, salvaged topsoil volumes will be
calculated so an adequate storage area can be developed.
Zbpsoil will be evaluated arri sampled by horizons. A qualified inspector
will determine horizon depths arcs saa~le the following parameters: pH,
net acidity or alkalinity, phosphorus, potassium, texture class,
electrical conductivity, sodium absorption ratio, sodium, calcium,
magnesium, boron if pH > 8.5, selenium if pH > 8.5, ~ organic matter, and
particle size analysis using scrreerec ing & hydrYaneter.
