Coordinates for these nest sites are: <br />Dry Fork Location <br />385157N <br />107 25 26 W <br />Two Ponds location <br />38 53 03 N <br />107 25 41 W <br />In addition to these two nest sites, several purple martins were observed flying in and out of the <br />stand where the nest is located along the Dry Fork. Also, purple martins were observed at other <br />locations in the Dry Fork drainage on more than one occasion. There is considerable suitable <br />nesting habitat in aspen stands throughout the project area. Roads and pad can be located to <br />minimize the number of trees removed that could potentially be used for nesting. Foraging <br />habitat is not limited in the project area and development will not be adversely affected by <br />development. <br />Three-toed woodpecker: No three-toed woodpeckers were observed during the 2008 surveys. <br />No suitable habitat for this species will be disturbed by the proposed construction activities for <br />the E-Seam Panels I & 2. <br />Brewer's Sparrow: There is no suitable habitat for this species in the E-Seam Panels 1 & 2 area. <br />Boreal toad: The boreal toad was discussed earlier in this document. <br />Northern leopard frog: No northern leopard frogs were observed during the 2008 surveys. <br />Dennis Garrison observed a number of these frogs at the large pond adjacent an access road from <br />Dry Fork to Sylvester Gulch during bat trapping work in 2007. This pond is adjacent to the E- <br />Seam 1 panel. Two large tadpoles were observed in this pond during the 2008 surveys, but it is <br />unknown if they were leopard frogs. Other ponds in the area were checked for adults, tadpoles <br />and egg masses, but none were observed. <br />There is suitable northern leopard frog habitat along drainages and in a few ponds but, with the <br />implementation of measures to protect the water bodies from siltation or contamination from <br />spills, none of this habitat will be affected by activities associated with the proposed project. <br />Sensitive Species - Fish <br />Colorado River cutthroat trout and Bluehead sucker: There is no suitable aquatic habitat for <br />either of the species in the project area. No fish are known to occur in the Dry Fork Of <br />Minnesota Creek. <br />Sensitive Species - Insects <br />Nokomis fritillary butterfly: None were observed and suitable habitat for this species is <br />lacking in the project area. <br />7
